Free Geek Hot Agpl Cider Recipe v.3
Free Geek Hot Agpl Cider Recipe v.3
Hot, free and open source for all seasons. Cold fighter, keeps the Cloud at bay. Modify at will.
Ingredients for one batch (serves 4 hours of IRC, or one night of coding):
- 2 litres apple juice (organic tastes best)
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons of fresh ginger, shredded
- 1 Emacsintosh apple, cored and diced
- Any of the following spices: nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, fresh ground black pepper, ground cardamon
- Any of the following fruits: cranberries, diced peaches/plums, diced umeboshi with the pits removed, strawberries, dried cherries/apricots, raisins
Directions:
Put all ingredients
into an open pot. Let collaborate on medium heat until mixture starts to
bubble. Reduce heat to low and cook at least 10 minutes.
Serve
in a mug with a teaspoon for eating the stewed fruit. Cider will stay
yummy on low for hours. Refresh with more juice, ginger and fruit at
will. Tastes better shared!
Additional Notes:
- Good ginger is not shrivelled; the skin should have a slight satin sheen and a pink tinge.
- More information on the GNU AGPLv3 can be found [HERE] and [HERE]
Tuesday Shop Hours Changed
FreeGeek Columbus will now close at 8:30 PM on Tuesday nights effective immediately.
New Board members!
The FreeGeek Columbus Board of Directors recently elected new members:
- Miles Curtiss
- Lisa Denlinger
- Kirk Kimmel
- Steve Lefevere
All four new members are enthusiastic about serving FreeGeek Columbus, and they bring a variety of skills and passions to the organization. If you see one of them at the shop, please take a moment to congratulate them!
Stepping down from the Board is Robb Ebright, who has served on the Board since it was established in 2005. Thanks, Robb, for all your hard work!
Happy Holidays: We Have Heat!
Our landlord has installed a new heater for us, which as of December 20 is working! So this winter you can volunteer for Freegeek Chicago in comfort. Orientation may be a bit shout-ier, because that thing is loud!
